She said at the age of 30 she decided to reflect back on her life. At that point she was in the web industry as a developer and she was pretty happy with what she was doing. Although she realized that what she wanted to do was impact more people's lives by helping people with their personal problems. Her dream was to be was a professional psychologist. When she was young she never did anything to try to be a psychologist because she didn’t want to be a financial burden to her parents to go to college to be a psychologist. Raylene used the excuse that she couldn’t afford to go to college to be a psychologist. Although now she has lots of experience, something that she wouldn’t have had if she had gone to college earlier. “I have reached an age where i am starting to really value the importance of quality in my life and i believe that everything happens for a reason.” If she had gone to college earlier in her life she wouldn’t have had the experience that she has now. Raylene Samuels wasn’t doing exactly what she wanted to do in her life so she decided to start to work so one day she can what she thinks she is suppose to do. She thinks that she is suppose to be a psychologist. Even though she knows that it will take a while before she can live her dream she is still determined to work towards it. “...but if I keep working toward them with consistent persistence, soon enough I’ll see the big picture and it will be worth it.” She knows that if she keeps at it she will one day become what she wants to be. It’s never too late to do what you think you’re suppose to do.
