In this video 7 people of all different ages and background, Jean Farnsworth, Thomas Bailey, Anthony, Anh Lewin, Chris Deans, Aidan Brown, and Victor Rosado were asked what is the American dream and how is America different from other countries? Here's a summary of what each of them said when asked "what is the American dream?": Jean Farnsworth said that it's giving someone a chance to make life better, Thomas Bailey said that it's to be a millionaire, Anthony thinks that it's living in a nice house, with a nice family, and being happy. Anh Lewin said that she thinks it's to be able to work hard and achieve your greatness, Chris Deans thinks that it's to pursue the job you want and live where you want to live, Aidan Brown said that it's the choice to be what you want to be, and Victor Rosado said it's potential. When asked "how is America different from other countries many of them had some of the same responses. Their most popular answer was freedom. Another that many of them said was opportunity. Thomas Bailey said "Everyone has an equal chance.", Chris Deans thinks that it's the freedom to pursue your dreams, and Aidan Brown said that it's hope and that you can be anything you want in America.
America provides all of the resources needed so people of America can do what they think they're suppose to do. If there was no freedom or no opportunities in America people wouldn't be able to achieve their American dream and they wouldn't be able to do what they think they're suppose to do. Some of the people interviewed in this video were originally from another country or their parents or grandparents used to live in another country. Victor Rosado grew up in Puerto Rico and he said he always wanted to live in America. So he got a job for ten dollars a day until he could buy a ticket and a few clothes and then he came to America. He knew that there are many opportunities in America so you can be what you want to be and do what you think you're suppose to do.
