The American Dream - "the ideals of freedom, equality, and opportunity traditionally held to be available to every American."
When the "American dream" is searched into dictionary.com this is the number one definition for the American dream. It says that the American dream is all about freedom, equality, and opportunity. These are all of the essential things that are needed to live the American dream. If there weren't all of these things in the United States nobody would be able to live their American dream and nobody would be able to do the things they think they're suppose to do. If their wasn't freedom nobody would be able to what they think they're suppose to do because they wouldn't have the freedom to pick what they wanted to do. If there wasn't equality then only some people would be able to do what they think they're suppose to do because people would be discriminated against and wouldn't be able to do what they think they're suppose to do. Finally if there wasn't opportunity nobody would be doing what they think they're suppose to do because they would never get the chance to. Without these essential things there would be no American dream for everyone and so nobody would want to move to America because they wouldn't be able to pursue their dreams.
